Live and study in Valencia

Valencia Province: Requena

RequenaRequena is a small and idyllic escape and is only a 40 minute drive away from Valencia. Requena is the biggest city of the western part of the province, and it is a good spot from which to explore mainland Spain.
Requena is famous for its wineries, and its “bodegas” are well worth a visit if you fancy a spot of wine tasting. True wine lovers shouldn't miss the Festival of la Vendimia, which takes place every year in between August and September. The origins of this festival date back to ancient times, when people used to pray to the skies to bring water for the harvest. Today the people celebrate with amusing events such as waterfights, parades and wine and fruit tasting.
Requena is also a medieval city and visitors will enjoy trips around the historic quarters and the Plaza Villa.
